Well, I don't have a card for you today but, I do have a delicious share for you!!! I've been on a roll with my workout schedule and healthy eating. I have been working out for 6 days with today. Friday being my rest day. Eat a healthy Burger and intake under 500 calories and less than 15g fat. Who says you can't eat burgers? LOL!! The burger below was my lunch yesterday. I wanted to share and tell you how easy it can be to make your own healthy burger in about 10-15 minutes at home!! Like my son says, "Easy Peesy Lemon Squeezy" If any of you try the patties let me know how you like them!! I loved them and will definitely buy them again:) Thank you for visiting today and Happy Sunday:)
Hugs,
~Norma~
This healthy Chicken burger is 468 Calories and a total of 13.9g Fat. I forgot I had Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins which are only 100 calories which would of made this burger only
368 calories and 10.9 g fat:)
I bought the chicken patties at Trade Joe's.
You get four in a pack for under $5.
Instead of french fries or chips, why not substitute with some Japanese Cucumber? Very crunchy and delicious!!
Recipe:
1 Chile Turkey burger from Trade Joe's 150 calories 3g fat
1 slice Muenster Cheese 80 Calories 4.5 g fat
1 oz Mushrooms 1 Calories 0g fat
Wheat Hamburger Bun 200 Calories 3g fat
4 Grape Tomatoes cut in slices 4 Calories 0g fat
1/2 C Mixed Herb Salad 4 Calories 0g fat
1 tsp Mustard 3 Calories 0.2g fat
Small Japanese Cucumber sliced 1 Calories 0.2g fat
TOTAL CALORIES AND FAT INTAKE: 468 Calories 13.9g fat
DIRECTIONS:
You will need to thaw the patty for about 2-3 hours but if you can't wait like me well, you can defrost on the microwave for about 3minutes depends on you microwave. Heat a skillet and spray some spam and cook for about 5-8 minutes. Once patty is cooked remove from skillet and set aside. Spray the skillet again with some spam and sautee the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 3-4 minutes. Remove Mushrooms from skillet and add to the top of the turkey patty. Next add 1 slice of muenster cheese. If you would like your cheese more melted on your mushrooms , you can put the patty, mushrooms and cheese inside the microwave to melt cheese for about 40 seconds. Add mustard to the top of cheese or buns or desired condiments. Add sliced grape tomatoes{this is what I had} or what you have on hand and then add the herb mix on top. Then you are all done with your healthy Turkey Burger to enjoy!!!. Lastly, Slice your Japanese cucumber and eat away a healthier choice!!
Now, I'm off to play some racquetball!!! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday my friends and thank you for visiting!!!
