Hello friends,
Today is my day to create a project for Decorate to Celebrate and the challenge calls for a Valentine's Day theme box or birthday party decoration (no cards please). So get crafting and join our challenge over at Decorate to Celebrate!
This is my very first Shadow Box that I've made and I really like how it turned out and I will definitely be making some more shadow boxes. I thought this photo was perfect for a Valentine's theme.

This is my very first Shadow Box that I've made and I really like how it turned out and I will definitely be making some more shadow boxes. I thought this photo was perfect for a Valentine's theme.
This picture of my son was taken days before his birthday in
December 2013 and so, I had to add his age to this 7 Gypsies Shadow Box and his first name initial. Since the theme is Valentine's you know I had to add some hearts all over:) I
tried to keep simple and boyish. I almost added some
rhinestones but I held back LOL!!
A close up of the edges as I sanded and sponged the edges with some Early Espresso. I trimmed the photo about a 1/4" on one side and the bottom then added some glue dots to adhere to the box. I then used the Square Collection Framelits and trimmed them a little to fit into the smaller boxes. The letter "D" was die cut using some retired alphabet dies set from SU. I did die cut the letter D six times and adhered over and over on top of each other to add some dimension and height. What do you all think?
You know I had to add two of my FAVORITE FREE items
from the Sale- A- Bration catalog which ends March 31, 2014.
I used the Banner Blast Stamp Set and the Banner Punch from Sale-A-Bration which again you can earn for FREE with
every $50 order through me HERE.

Wow, this is the best thing I have seen linked up to MSC in a long time. Thanks for sharing. The photo is great and the box is so clean even with its distressed edges.
